Mercury removal from gases.

The best way to remove mercury from a gas is depending upon the mercury forms and concentration levels in the gas, and is also influenced by eventual interference of other substances upon the removal process, by the desired mercury levels in the treated gas, and by practical and economic factors.

We have experience of the dominating methods of mercury removal from gases emanating from chemical and metallurgical processes, waste combustion and crematoria, and can give advice to which method that should be chosen in specific cases, and also concerning the practical application of the method.

In one case our client, based on our advice, was able to make adjustments concerning the operation of existing gas treatment equipment, and thus avoided expensive investments in a new plant for the removal of mercury from sulphuric acid.
